New FRANK SINATRA 100 App Available Worldwide for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and Android on the App Store and Google Play

Universal Music has released a so-called “appumentary” to celebrate Frank Sinatra’s life and career as part of a series of 100th birthday celebrations.

During 2015 and beyond, the app, simply titled Frank Sinatra 100, will reveal new features
and content - promising to complete the story of one of the 20th century’s most important pop culture figures.

Universal released the app, developed by London-based music curation specialists playDEF, this Thursday (December 18). It promises to “invite fans to step into Frank’s world (on a string), with lush, vibrant imagery showcased in many rare and previously unseen photos, a unique, full-screen Sinatra Slideshow feature, as well as exclusive audio recordings and videos”.

These include a 1962 filmed performance taken from Universal’s new Sinatra: London boxset. The app also offers an interactive timeline, in-depth features, interviews and personal stories about the icon from many who knew him best, including family members and friends.

The free-to-download app is compatible with iOS and Android tablets. In-app music purchase options are also available via major digital service providers, including the new Mastered for iTunes releases on the iTunes Store. Sinatra’s music can also be streamed via in-app connectivity through Spotify, Rdio or Deezer.
